01SUITABLE SUBSTRATES

02SURFACE PREPARATION

Clean and dry the surface to be sprayed. Ensure that the surface to be sprayed is clean and dry and of no dust, oil and oil film. The part not to be sprayed must be enveloped with [text truncated on the sheet].

03MIXING

NotesNo mixing - the sheet describe a ready-to-spray aerosol/can product. 'The product should be shaken evenly before and during use.'
BEFORE YOU START — THE SYSTEM IS THE PROCESSGerma-Tech abrasives and ancillary products are graded and tested for compatibility with this product and the process on this sheet — that control is what makes any problem on the job assessable and fixable. Once a non-Germa-Tech product has been used at any step, what actually touched the panel can no longer be verified, and issues that arise cannot be fairly assessed — by us or by anyone. Use the system through the whole process, and if something on this sheet does not fit the job, talk to us before you spray. Refer to the GERMA-TECH APPLICATION STANDARD.

04APPLICATION

Othersprayed evenly up and down 20-40cm far away from the surface, using the can's own jet nozzle.
Coatsno coat count given.

05DRYING & CURING

RULED 02.09.2026Solvent-borne bitumen in an aerosol can. Applied through the can's own jet nozzle.
HANDLE
This product can absolutely be dried 4-6 hours after it is sprayed depending on operation temperature.

06RECOAT & REWORK

IF YOU MISS THE RECOAT WINDOWOnce the film has cured past its recoat window, do not put another coat straight over it — the new coat sits on the surface and lets go at the interface. Abrade the whole area first (P800 wet or a grey abrasive pad), degrease, tack off, then recoat.

07PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Equipment cleaningNo gun to clean — invert the can and spray for 2-3 seconds after use to clear the nozzle, or the tip will block for next time.

08STORAGE, SHELF LIFE & PACKS

Storage life (unopened)Up to 36 months unopened — SUBJECT TO correct storage: a cool, dry place below 20 °C, out of direct sun. Heat is the biggest killer of paint in the tin: stock stored or transported in hot vehicles, tin sheds, shipping containers or direct sunlight loses life fast whatever the date on the tin, and that is where most premature failures start. Storage life is an optimal guide, not a promise that survives a hot shed.
Once the seal is brokenAn aerosol stays sealed — there is no opened-life clock. Clear the nozzle after every use (invert and spray 2-3 seconds) and use within shelf life; a can that has lost pressure is done.
StorageStore indoors in a cool, dry place below 20 °C, out of direct sunlight, with the lid sealed tight after every use. Never store or transport in heat — not in a tin shed, a shipping container, a hot van or a sunlit rack. DO NOT store or use inside a vehicle.

11STANDARD NOTES — THE SAME ON EVERY SHEET IN THIS SET

Standard inclusions are controlled: each note applies to every product in its named set, enforced at build. They cannot drift onto some sheets and off others.

12PRODUCT-SPECIFIC NOTES

WARNINGS CARRIED FORWARD FROM THE PREVIOUS SHEET1. Use in well ventilated workplace
2. Avoid contain with skin and eyes, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
3. Do not swallow or spray near food/drink.
4. When spraying, the can must be kept upwards and vertical and the angel between it and the level should be not less than 45 degrees.
5. The product is inflammable and should be kept away from heat or fire.
6. The product must be stored in a ventilated, dry and cool place, store below 40 Degrees Celsius.
7. DO NOT store or use inside a vehicle.
8. DO NOT break, cut or burn the tin.
AUSTRALIAN CONDITIONSSolvent products flash faster as the temperature climbs. Above 30 °C expect a degreaser or blending solvent to evaporate before it has done its job — work smaller areas and wipe off before it dries. Keep containers closed and out of direct sun.

13HEALTH & SAFETY

FLAMMABLE AEROSOL · BITUMEN & XYLENEPressurised container — do not pierce or burn, even when empty, and never store it above 40 °C or inside a vehicle. The propellant makes the spray flammable: keep it away from any ignition source and do not spray near a running engine or exhaust. Contains xylene and petroleum solvent; use in a well-ventilated area with respiratory, eye and skin protection selected under AS/NZS 1715 and AS/NZS 1716. Read the Safety Data Sheet before use.
